December News
Tanya Hanson's short story, His Christmas Angel,
is available as a free download after December 15th at The Wild
Rose Press.
Lucie Simone's book The Waterdance
is now available for download from Liquid Silver Books.
Dawn Halliday's story Midnight
Seduction will be available in ebook and print in Ellora's
Caveman Anthology, Jewels of the Nile IV on December
21.
Dawn Halliday's second book in
her Highland Series, Highland Surrender is scheduled
to be released in 2010.
Trish Albright's second book in
her Siren Series, Siren's Secret will be out in May 2009.
Christine London's Sunninghill
Snow will be released in print in February 2009.
Suzanne Lazear's Interfluit
was chosen as the fantasy chapter's editor's choice for the month
of November.
Kate Willoughby's Hostile Takeover
was #1 Bestseller for the 2008 Third Quarter at Liquid Silver
She received a reviewer's top pick at Nigh Owl Romance for her
Ellora's Cave book, A Wolf At Her Door.
Kate McKinley's Dark Desires won 2nd
place in the general paranormal category of the On the Far Side
contest.
Robin Bielman's contemporary single title, Designs
on You is a finalist in the Launching a Star contest.
Eden Bradley sold a novella Tempt Me Twice
to Samhain.
Linda O. Johnston sold a sequel Alpha Force
story tentatively scheduled for a 2009 release

Family was released on eHarlequin.
Eden Bradley sold Night Moves to Harlequin
Spice Briefs.
Betty Hechtmann's Hooked on Murder
has now entered its second printing.
Kate Willoughby's A Wolf at Her Door,
Book 2 in the Be-Wished series was released by Ellora's Cave and
her erotica novel, Carnal Devotions, is available now
at Liquid Silver books.
Eden Bradley's Forbidden Fruit was profiled
in October's Cosmopolitan Magazine.
Romantic Times has awarded both Charlene Sands
and Lisa Bradley 4 1/2 stars for their November
books - A Silhouette Desire for Charlene and Forbidden Fruit for
Lisa.
September News
Mia Varano reports a sale of The Gee Spot
to eRed Sage. This is her 3rd e-story and her 5th story to Red
Sage.
Tanya Hanson reports her Western historical
romance, Marrying Minda, received first-place honors
in the Merritt "Magic Moment" Contest sponsored by SARA
(San Antonio Romance Authors), as well as first-place in the 2007
"Ignite the Flame" Contest held by the Central Ohio
Fiction Writers. The book has just been acquired by The Wild Rose
Press' Cactus Rose line.
Lucie Simone sold The Waterdance to
Liquid Silver Books. No release date yet.
Lynne Marshall has officially signed with the
Nancy Coffey Literary and Media representation agency for her
single title book: One for the Road.
Julie Hurwitz received a request for two novellas
off her pitch to Susan Swinwood at Spice.
Kathy Bennett, at the National Conference Editor
Hilary Sares from Kensington requested a full of A Dozen
Deadly Roses. Agent Nancy Yost requested a partial on a yet-to-be-written
thriller.
Roben Scharf's book Unlock the Truth
won an honorable mention in the BookEnds Romantic Suspense contest.
Carol Ericson sent a requested partial of her
single title romantic comedy to Dorchester, and she submitted
a full manuscript to Sourcebooks. Carol also made her 3rd Harlequin
Intrigue sale, Circumstantial Memories.
Kate Willoughby's novella, Hostile Takeover,
was the #2 erotic romance bestseller on Fictionwise, an electronic
bookstore.
The second book in her Ellora's Cave Be-Wished series, A
Wolf at her Door, will be released September 24. Kate also
sold The Topaz Triad, now titled Secrets of the Jin-Hakku,
to Ellora’s Cave and will be out in November.

Robin Bielman's novel Designs on You,
finaled in the Contemporary Single Title category of the Toronto
Romance Writers Original Golden Opportunity Contest.
Charlene Sands is happy to announce she won
the 2008 Bookseller's Best Award in the Short Contemporary category
for her Desire, Fortune's Vengeful Groom.

The title of the book will be Assignment: Baby and will
be a March 2009 release.

03-12-08 Our own Robert L. Hecker won a 2008
EPPIE award for his novel Murder By Proxy published thorugh

Robert Hecker’s mystery/thriller/romance novel "Murder
By Proxy" has been selected as a finalist in its category
in the prestigious EPPIE awards contest. A community theatre in
Fullerton has selected his latest stage play "Borderline"
for its premier production next spring. His musical "Honestly
Abe" has been accepted for the Academy of New Musical Theatre's
New Voices of 2008 contest.
Fronnie Lewis’s workshop proposal has been accepted for
the Romance Writers of America 28th Annual National Conference
in San Francisco this July. Her workshop is called Romancing
the Internet: Simple Ways to Boot-up Your Writing Career by Blogging.
Bettie Sharpe’s first sale, a futuristic erotic paranormal
novella called Like a Thief in the Night was released
by Samhain on Tuesday, January 15 as one of the Strangers
in the Night anthology.
Dawn Halliday sold her Scottish Historical, Highland Obsession,
as part of a 2-book deal to NAL Signet Eclipse.
Nicole Coady sold her first manuscript, Moonlight on Diamonds,
to The Wild Rose Press.

Janie Emaus reports that she's a finalist in the Linda Howard
Award of Excellence Contest in the Unique Genre.
TJ Bennett reports that Romantictimes.com has invited her to
participate in their "exclusive
Author Spotlight area" on their new website. She'll be featured
in the spotlight in March 2008 in anticipation of her April release
of The Legacy, a historical romance set in Reformation
Germany.
01-03-08 Dawn Halliday's manuscript was accepted
into Volume Four of Ellora's Cavemen 2008 anthology.
01-01-08 Carol Ericson reports that eRed Sage
bought her short story, Sex and the Single Pearl. It
has a tentative Aug. release date.
